Markt 1 Restaurant in Gera

The Markt 1 restaurant is located at Markt 1 in 07545 Gera. It is a restaurant with old arches and a terrace. Steaks, home-style cooking and Thuringian dishes are served here. I drank a fine beer there and ate a rump steak with herb butter and green beans. Both were very delicious. The staff is very friendly, helpful and very valuable. I am happy to recommend this excellent address to others!

It's been a year but we keep thinking about it! It was so delicious ??? The service was very friendly, and everything else was just right. We were in Gera because we had an appointment and will definitely take the almost two hour drive (only there) at some point when everything is up again! ?

Wow! Super delicious food, very friendly service. I was already impressed after the still warm bread with garlic sauce, but after I had eaten the sauerbraten, I was in 7th heaven. The cake was absolutely terrific too! You can eat very privately here, as the entire restaurant is very winding. I can only recommend it!

Despite reservation by email and telephone inquiries, no table was reserved, but we got 5th place on Saturday afternoon. A plate would have been nice to "say hello from the kitchen". In the beginning everything was great, home-style cooking is delicious, the chicken and salad are nicely presented. Unfortunately we were neglected and waited longer for service. We then ordered the coffee and espresso in another restaurant.

Saturday evening 6 p.m., completely empty restaurant but no space for 3 people. We have now left our almost € 100 in Bachgasse and will never try again in Markt 1. Due to the answer from the owner, a little update, we had the "fun" to stop by again on the way back. In the upper part there were actually a few people, fully or even fully booked, even from the point of view of keeping your distance far away, in the lower part, the former passage, there were exactly 4. If you don't want to earn money you should write it on the door ... paying guests are not welcome here ...

Three visited. I ate a burger once and goose breast twice. Delicious and plentiful. Fast, friendly service. We were very satisfied.

We went to this restaurant today. Unfortunately, the dumplings were totally over-cooked. Far too little sauce. Roulade was reasonably tasty. My husband had diarrhea afterwards.

Unfortunately not recommended at all. Completely overpriced and what you get in the end and especially how is unfortunately not worth a star. Nothing has been eaten in the picture yet. So it came from the kitchen.

Food is viable. Service should practice friendliness at the guest more. Kitchen is completely overloaded at normal restaurant operation.

Fast service, home-style cooking. Roulade and Sauerbraten with dumplings were very neat. Only the price-performance ratio is too high. You can get a Wiener Schnitzel in Vienna much cheaper, in a comparable ambience.
